ImagePietro Vittorio BARBIERI
FISH (Italy)
Born in 1967 in Sesto San Giovanni (MI), since 1996 he is the National President of FISH, the Italian Federation for Overcoming Handicaps, and a member of the National Disability Council, a founding member of EDF, the European Disability Forum.
He is currently a member of the National Council of the Permanent Non-profit sector Foruma and of the Social promotion associations' observatory, the co-ordinator of the EmpowerNet project for active citizenship of disability persons' associations and their families and the director of the Mobility Centre of Fiat Auto in Rome.
He has taken part in the main institutional and non-institutional conferences and workshops at national, regional and European levels from 1996 to 2005. He has poubsished articcles and interviews on publications and websites dedicated to handicaps, re-habilitation, health, education, care and mobility.

UNICRA (Italy)
Researcher at the Laboratorio di Treviglio (BG) of the Unità di ricerca per l’ingegneria agraria, CRA (Consiglio per la Ricerca e la Sperimentazione in Agricoltura) since 1988 when he graduated in Agricultural Sciences at the University of Padua.
He is a member of the OECD workgroup on international tractor testing harmonisation.
From 1992 to 1994 he has been Director of technical training for animal haulage mechanisation Chad (Central Africa) and since 1994 he teaches Zootechnical farm mechanisation at the Università Cattolica del S. Cuore in Piacenza.     
He has authored 140 technical-scientific publications and 150 agricultural machinery test reports.

 Antonino FAILLA
AIIA (Italy)
Since 1986/87 he teaches "Rural buildings" and "Rural buildings and agro-forestry territories" at the Faculty of agriculture of the University of Catania. He has authored more than 100 scientific articles for journals and conferences, both national and international, on agricultural buildings and the rural landscape; in the last years he has been ficusing in the design and rehabilitation of agricultural buildings within territorial planning, as well as landscape analysis and planning issues. He is the President of the Italian Agriculttural Engineering Association (AIIA); President of the Degree course in "Design and management of green areas, parks and gardens”; Co-ordinator of the Doctorate degree in “Agricultural Engineering”.
 Cinzia GIOVANNELLI
Local Health Authority of Latina (Italy)

She graduated at the specialisation school of the Università del Sacro Cuore of Rome with a degree on "Prevention and safety in agricultural work".
She currently works as a Prevention engineer at the Local Health Authority of Latina. Within the agricultural industry, she has divulged prevention and safety issues and organised conferences and local events, also in partnership with ENAMA.
She writes information material for Italian and foreign workers, collaborates in research studies with public administration bodies and teaches in courses for plant pretection product purchasing licenses.

Mario Pompeo IANNUZZIELLO
ANMIL (Italia)

Nato a Matera nel 1961, ha subito un grave infortunio all’età di 15 anni quando, aiutando il padre con la motozappa nel podere agricolo familiare, ha riportato l’amputazione dell’arto inferiore destro. 
Nel 1979 si è iscritto all’ANMIL di Matera e dal 1980 ha ricoperto diverse cariche associative tra le quali quella di Consigliere Provinciale prima e di Vice Presidente Provinciale poi, distinguendosi per le sue doti di disponibilità e di altruismo verso i più deboli, dimostrandosi sempre partecipe, attento e sensibile alle problematiche dei Mutilati ed Invalidi del Lavoro.
Nel 2004 è stato eletto Delegato Nazionale e dallo stesso anno ricopre la carica di Presidente Provinciale dell’ANMIL di Matera.

 

Vincenzo LAURENDI
ISPESL (Italia)

Laureato in Scienze Agrarie e dottore di ricerca in Genio Rurale presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Agraria e Forestale dell'Università degli Studi di Firenze. Dal luglio 1999 è ricercatore presso l’ISPESL - VIII Unità funzionale “Macchine, Impianti, Tecnologie nel settore agricolo-forestale” del Dipartimento Tecnologie di Sicurezza. Collabora alla predisposizione di norme tecniche concernenti le caratteristiche costruttive di sicurezza delle macchine agricole e forestali partecipando ai gruppi di lavoro CUNA, CEN e ISO. Allo stato attuale è Project Leader, in ambito CEN e ISO, per tre diversi progetti di norma sulla sicurezza delle macchine agricole. Ha prodotto 50 pubblicazioni scientifiche, 20 pubblicazioni a carattere divulgativo ed è coautore di tre libri sulla sicurezza in agricoltura (editore Pirola sole 24ore).

Dr Peter Lundqvist is a Professor of Work Science at the Department of Work Science, Business Economics and Environmental Psychology at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. Peter grew up on a farm and has a special interest in injury prevention, ergonomics and leadership in agriculture. Some examples of current projects involves: traffic accidents with slow-moving vehicles, prevention of child accidents, large-scale animal production - management, injuries and ergonomical aspects. His Department has recently got a mission by the Swedish Ministry of Agriculture to develop an education program for farmers and farm advisors in order to reduce the high injury rates in Swedish agriculture.

Murray MADSEN
GPCAH (Iowa, United States)
Mr. Madsen was born and raised on a grain and livestock farm in southwestern Minnesota.  He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Agricultural Engineering - Power and Machinery Design and obtained his MBA from St. Ambrose University in 1983.  Prior to coming to the University of Iowa in 2002, Mr. Madsen had a 32-year career with John Deere, first as a design engineer, then in product market compliance, as Product Safety Engineer for consumer products, and finally as Product Safety Engineer for agricultural equipment worldwide at Deere & Company’s global headquarters in Moline, IL. 
Mr. Madsen is currently the Associate Director of the Great Plains Center for Agricultural Health, one of eight US federally funded Centers of its kind.  In addition, he is Chief Trauma Investigator within the Department of Occupational and Environmental Health’s Injury Prevention Research Center for all traumatic work deaths across the state of Iowa. 
Murray is the two-time past president of the National Institute for Farm Safety, past chair of the equipment manufacturer’s association agricultural safety committee, the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers’ Ergonomics, Safety and Health Committee, and the ASABE safety standards development committee.  He has served on its Board of Directors and as President of Farm Safety 4 Just Kids.

Conferenza Stato-Regioni (Italia)
Coordinatore del Comitato tecnico di coordinamento delle Regioni e Province autonome in materia di prevenzione, igiene e sicurezza sui luoghi di lavoro (dal marzo 2003) ricopre il ruolo di referente per le Regioni e Province Autonome nei rapporti con i Ministeri,
ISPESL, INAIL, ISS e Parti Sociali per le materie di competenza.
È Membro effettivo della Commissione Consultiva Permanente Nazionale presso il Ministero del Lavoro e della Previdenza Sociale, membro effettivo del Comitato scientifico dell’ISPESL e Coordinatore Tecnico per le Regioni e Province Autonome del “Patto per la tutela della salute e la prevenzione nei luoghi di lavori”, Conferenza Stato - Regioni.

Laureato in fisica presso l'Università degli Studi di Roma, è attualmente presidente dell’Istituto Superiore per la Prevenzione e la Sicurezza del Lavoro (ISPESL), incarico che ricopre dall'aprile 2003. Professore a contratto nel corso di laurea in Scienza della Sicurezza dell'Università di Roma La Sapienza, Facoltà di Ingegneria, dove insegna “Protezione dalle radiazioni ionizzanti e campi elettromagnetici”.  Presidente del Comitato Tecnico-Scientifico ISPESL e membro del Consiglio Superiore di Sanità. Tra gli altri incarichi attualmente ricoperti, è membro del Comitato Scientifico dell’INRS, Istituto Nazionale francese per la Ricerca sulla Sicurezza e tutela delle malattie nei luoghi di lavoro, e membro dell’Accademia delle Scienze.

Prior to joining UNAPCAEM, Dr. Amitava Mukherjee had worked with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) Bangkok since 2003. He was the Regional Advisor and also the Chief Technical Advisor, Public Private Partnership in UNESCAP prior to which he held visiting appointments in the London School of Economics, London and at the Stanford Business School, Stanford University, Stanford, USA. He has been a development practitioner and an action researcher, especially in the areas of food security, poverty alleviation, community based planning, participatory project management, monitoring and evaluation and capacity building He has served in many countries in Asia and Africa for over 30 years. Dr. Mukherjee has also lectured worldwide on issues of sustainable agriculture and food security and has published nearly 35 books and numerous papers on the subject.

(Econ),  Ph.D.    Head,  OECD Codes & Schemes.  Prior to being appointed to the Codes & Schemes in 2006, Dr. Ryan  was an Agricultural Policy Analyst in the OECD Trade and Agricultural Directorate.  Dr. Ryan has worked on a wide range of agricultural and trade policy issues in both Member and Non –Member countries, especially countries in Central and Eastern Europe and South East Asia. Before joining the OECD in 1992, Dr. Ryan  worked as a Policy Analyst in Agriculture Canada.

Alessandro TENAGLIA
CEN (Belgio)
Laureato in Chimica Industriale presso l’Università degli Studi di Bologna, dal 1977 al 1979 ha lavorato presso un’azienda ceramica come responsabile dei Laboratori di Ricerca e Sviluppo e del Controllo Qualità. Dal 1980 lavora presso il Centro Ceramico Bologna dove attualmente ha la qualifica di Senior Scientist.
È stato responsabile e coordinatore scientifico di vari progetti di ricerca effettuati per ENEA, CNR e UE.
È autore di più di 40 pubblicazioni (compresi tre libri) su tematiche riguardanti la tecnologia ceramica, gli aspetti ambientali, la standardizzazione e la certificazione.
